Extraordinary lives

Extraordinary lives are an inside job, they grow from within.  We know what extraordinary is for each of us.  And, by the way, we don’t get to an extraordinary life through another person’s action – “if only he did such and such my life would be great…, if only she did…, the boss did…, etc”.    I invite you to ask yourself what it means to live an extraordinary life inside you own skin, then do one thing today that reflects this knowing.

My extraordinary life is to be ordinary, to manifest an intention of service and thoughtfulness in my workplace, and everywhere else. It is a lofty intention; and time and again I fall short of living in that space. When this happens I introspect, dust myself off and renew my intention.
Today I accepted someone that previously irritated me(the yoga teacher). I had the intention to do so, and I also had a plan. Before I entered the studio I reminded myself that she, like I, is being herself, her perfect self…..it worked.
