30 something

My daughter Edit, a member of the “30 something” crowd, told me that my blog entries do not catch her attention. She needed something more personal, more connected to her world. I reflected on this.

Well, she is a perfect example of what I talk about and aim to highlight in the blog.

Edit is a successful entrepreneur having opened, operated and sold 3 restaurants for a very nice profit. She recently opened her 4th restaurant and has hit the marketing trail running being featured on two Houston TV stations just this last week. Edit is passionate, committed and hardworking, she speaks her mind and people respect her, she pulls no punches, is honest to a fault and will do what is necessary to succeed. Edit has huge integrity and smarts, knows how to manage people and make the hard decisions when needed and she does this with utmost consideration for others.

Edit is aligned indeed. Nothing in her wants to go in a different direction than the path she is walking. All her energy is fully and passionately engaged in her work and her life, she even manages to fit exercise into her days. And, on top of this, Edit is an awesome audience and critic for me.

Do you have someone in your life whom you trust will tell you like it is without you taking offense? Those people are gems, take care of them.
